This organic Bancha tea leaves are made through the cultivation efforts of the experienced organic farmers in the pristine mountain area of Haruno village, in West Shizuoka, Japan.

This organic Bancha’s leaves were carefully plucked in Isagawa, the “organic valley”, an organic plantation free boasting a beautiful view of surrounding mountains, and free of drift and use of chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. The semi-processed leaf is further post-refined in Mori-Machi, Shizuoka where the flavor and quality are checked and the leaf parts are finely proportioned before being packaged and ready for sale as a pure, organic tea!

Bancha is great on the go or when relaxing at home, and goes great after meals as a drink you can take in volume. Organic Bancha also goes well when you are on an empty stomach and need something to carry you over until your next meal. Characterized by its refreshing taste, Bancha is a tea you can steep with hot water in the cold season. When brewed, tea polysaccharides are naturally released.

Organic farming represents the quintessence our our Japanese traditional production method, used to achieve the flavor that makes our organic loose leaf teas unique.

Our method, achieved the mountainous region of western Shizuoka, is good for both the soil and the whole environment, making the most out of the natural elements, rather than relying on chemical fertilizers or synthetic pesticides.

Mountain-harvested tea leaves have a nice fragrance and lingering taste, giving them a delicious flavor that can be finely distinguished from flat-land tea fields. This location is ideal for organic tea and our farmers dedicated to the art and science of organic agriculture as a true philosophy of life.
