This organic Kamairicha is a competition winner, namely of the 'Nihoncha Award' 2021 Tokyo’s platinum prize. This tea-appraising contest is held nation-wide in Japan.
It is made from organic Zairai leaves, is cultivated and harvested in mountainous Isagawa, Haruno in western Shizuoka. This location is idea for production of organic tea, where local farmers are dedicated to the art and science of organic agriculture.
This tea boasts a slight twist to the traditional “Kama-ka” aroma of Kamairicha. It has an aromatic, deep cream aroma followed by a slightly floral pan-fired green tea taste - due to a slight withering technique used before steaming the leaves.
